Shorting the S&P

I have decided, partially based upon a Barron's Article (which I can't find on the internet without a WSJ subscription), that the stock martket is going to suck wind for a long time. So I'm moving part of my IRA to mutual funds shorting the S&P 500 and other indexes, namely:

ULTRA BEAR PRO FUND INVESTORS SHARES (Ticker: URPIX)

RYDEX URSA INVESTOR CLASS (Ticker: RYURX)

I still have the majority of my money in the stock market, but this may help offset some of my losses if the market continues to drop. You might want to look into the same strategy. But don't say I told you to do it...lose your money like a man (or woman).
