2globalmart

I was unable to post for a while there. I think my web host started enforcing memory limits in Apache using RLimitMEM. While the values seemed high enough, (RLimitMEM 6291456 16291456) I was getting an Out of Memory! error followed by Premature end of script headers in my error log.

I had to open about FOUR tickets to get the response I wanted. I found an HSphere FAQ document that described similar problems with people attempting to use Front Page. So 2globalmart removed the RLimitMEM on my account, and everything is working fine. It seems like once your request gets to the right person, they can solve it very quickly.

So I wonder, is Movabletype really THAT resource intensive? I wonder if 2.51 is better or worse? I have had problems with this host installing the required packages for DB_File and I don't want to go through any more problems with a new version of MT and getting the DBD::mysql module loaded onto the server.

But I'm back up now and have lots of things to talk about.
